Craft Road to Reopen Aug. 2 as Work Continues, Olive Branch Officials Say

Craft Road between Church Road and College Road will reopen Sunday, Aug. 2, at 3 p.m., but construction will continue, Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams and the Olive Branch Police Department said in a July 31 update.

The stretch was closed May 26 for a roadway expansion, officials said, and the overall road-widening project began March 9. The city urged drivers to follow posted detour signs during the closure.

While traffic will be allowed through beginning Aug. 2, crews will continue final work over the coming weeks, Adams said. Motorists were asked to use caution, reduce speeds and obey all posted signage for the safety of workers and other drivers.

In the update, Adams thanked residents for their patience as crews complete remaining improvements, the mayor’s office and police department said.
