Walton signs with Fisk University

Hernando basketball player Victoria Walton will be playing basketball for Fisk University next season, as she signed a scholarship offer during an event on Tuesday at the high school.

Fisk University is located in Nashville, Tennessee. The NAIA school is coached by Janine Davis, who finished her second season with the school. 

Walton was part of a Hernando girls’ basketball team that was 22-6 this past season and won Region 2-6A with a 6-0 record. The Lady Tigers lost to eventual state champion Olive Branch in the second round of the 6A state playoffs.
