Waste Pro works to catch up on rural collection routes

Waste Pro officials say they are hard at work trying to catch up with garbage collection routes that were missed when a number of trucks went down with mechanical issues in the unincorporated areas of DeSoto County.  

County officials said this week it is working with Waste Pro and taking all possible steps to address the problems with the collection service.  

Tuesday, March 14, Waste Pro officials provided the following update on its situation, stating supply chain issues in getting parts needed to repair the trucks have slowed its ability to get back on their routes as quickly as they would like:
