Two charged in Olive Branch armed robbery
Two Horn Lake men are being charged by Olive Branch police in connection with an armed robbery Wednesday that injured the victim who was later involved in a traffic accident.
According to the police department, a report of shots being fired came from the 6900 block of state Highway 305 Wednesday when a person was confronted by two men who robbed the victim at gunpoint. The person who was robbed was injured but left the scene, only to be involved in an accident at State Highway 302 and Alexander Road. Police say that person was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the shooting.
Police searching for those involved in the robbery eventually found two suspects.
Marco DeShaun Gentry, age 19 of Horn Lake, was found in the 7000 block of State Highway 305, was arrested and is charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony. Gentry is being held in the DeSoto County Jail without bond and has a July 13 court date set.
The second suspect, Brandon Kerayle Brinkley, age 19 of Horn Lake, received a gunshot wound and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. In the police department information, it was not stated how Brinkley was wounded. He is also facing charges of attempted murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony.
