Feb. 18, 2025-A middle school teacher is under arrest and is charged with child exploitation. Southaven Police issued a news release Tuesday afternoon announcing that Stephen Tyler Hart is in custody.

Police report that the officers received a complaint against a DeSoto Central Middle School instructor on Monday, Feb. 17. Investigators were led to learn that an instructor was making inappropriate comments toward a student.
Tuesday, Feb. 18, Southaven officers placed Hart, age 35 of Southaven, into custody for two counts of child exploitation, adding this is still an ongoing investigation.
