Southaven fire department promotes Jeremy Hodges to captain

The Southaven Fire Department announced the promotion of Jeremy Hodges to captain, the department said.

Hodges has served the citizens of Southaven for 18 years, the department said. He has earned numerous fire service certifications and became a licensed paramedic in 2014.

The department said Hodges will be one of two captains leading C-Shift. He will supervise personnel, provide leadership during emergency responses and help ensure continued delivery of service to residents.

The Southaven Fire Department asked residents to join in congratulating Hodges and wished him success as he begins the new role, the department said.
