The Southaven Fire Department announced the promotion of Chad Walker to the rank of captain, saying he will continue serving the department while fulfilling the responsibilities of the Administrative Staff Officer position.
Walker began his career with the department in April 2012 as a Firefighter/Paramedic and served in that role for nearly 12 years, according to the department.
In March 2024, Walker transitioned to Administrative Staff Officer, taking on additional responsibilities supporting the department’s daily operations and overall mission.
The department said Walker brings more than 14 years of service, experience and leadership as he assumes the captain rank.
