Police Week 2026 Honors Crowder Marshal Killed 86 Years Ago

Organizers of Police Week 2026 said they are honoring Crowder Town Marshal Lige Denman, who died in the line of duty 86 years ago.

They said little is known about Denman. Organizers said efforts to locate any family members have been unsuccessful.

Organizers said Denman died serving and protecting and described him as a hero.
