Overturned dump truck causes traffic problems

An overturned dump truck has caused traffic problems on Highway 51 and Goodman Road Tuesday.

Southaven Police reported the truck spilled over shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

There is an overturned dump truck at Goodman Road and Highway 51. Highway 51 southbound traffic has been stopped at Dorchester at this time. Please use an alternate route. pic.twitter.com/mLMrGc6f05

Drivers were asked to avoid the area while cleanup is underway. No cause for the dump truck spilling over was immediately released.

The roadway was reported cleared by Mississippi Department of Transportation at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
