One hurt after altercation and stolen vehicles at Walmart

One person is being treated for a gunshot wound suffered in the theft of vehicles at a Walmart parking lot over the weekend

Olive Branch police were called to the Walmart Supercenter, 7950 Craft-Goodman Frontage Road, on Sunday, Nov. 7 after a report of shots being fired and stolen vehicles.  

The victims were approached by three black males who demanded the keys to the vehicles, resulting in an altercation. 

During the altercation, one person was struck by gunfire. The suspects left the scene in the victims’ vehicle. The person who was shot was taken to Regional One in Memphis for treatment of the gunshot wound. No condition report was made available.

The news release Monday morning did not identify anyone involved, has not specified the number of vehicles taken, and the approximate time of the incident.
