Olive Branch staff read stormwater book to DeSoto County students
Shellby the Turtle visited students across DeSoto County this week, the City of Olive Branch said.
City staff from its communications, safety and engineering departments and the Olive Branch Police Department served as guest readers for “Shellby’s Stormwater Adventure,” the city said.
The readers shared how everyday actions can help protect waterways and the animals that depend on them, including keeping storm drains clear and picking up litter, the city said.
Mayor Ken Adams thanked DeSoto County Government and the DeSoto County Agri-Education Center for inviting city staff to the events, according to the city post.
