The department marked International Firefighters’ Day by thanking the men and women who respond to emergencies at a moment’s notice, the department said.
It said those firefighters train, prepare and respond to emergency situations every day.
The statement called them a lifeline in the community and said the department values their service and their shared goal of saving lives and property.
The department also honored firefighters who have died in the line of duty, the statement said.
