Olive Branch Police Earn Four-Year CALEA Reaccreditation
The Olive Branch Police Department said it earned reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies for the next four years and was recognized at a meeting of the City of Olive Branch mayor and Board of Aldermen, the department said.
The department said CALEA accreditation is considered the gold standard in public safety and that the designation demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
The department said the accreditation process requires agencies to meet and maintain internationally recognized standards that promote excellence in law enforcement operations and services. The department said the accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication of every member of the force and strengthens departmental policies and practices.
The department thanked Mayor Ken Adams, the Board of Aldermen, city leadership and the community for their support. The department said the reaccreditation underscores its commitment to providing service with integrity and to building and maintaining public trust.
