The City of Olive Branch said the storm shelter at 9549 Pigeon Roost Road is open until the severe weather threat is resolved.

The city urged residents to have multiple ways to receive severe weather warnings and updates, officials said.

Residents can receive weather alerts on their mobile devices by texting ‘olivebranch’ to 888777, the city said.

The city advised residents to monitor those alerts and follow local guidance as conditions change, officials said.
