Olive Branch police awarded commendations to Maj. Carl Glass and Capt. Terri Hoskins for stopping to help a young motorist change flattened tires during severe weather on July 4, 2026, the Olive Branch Police Department said in a social media post.
The department said the officers stopped during the storm after the woman’s tires were flattened and helped change both tires. The woman’s father expressed his appreciation to the officers, the department said.
The department described the awards as recognition of the officers’ exemplary actions and dedication, saying the commendations express the agency’s appreciation and gratitude.
Mayor Ken Adams, through the City of Olive Branch government, praised the work and said the city will continue to protect and serve the community through teamwork, dedication and strong interagency partnerships, the city post said.
