It’s not been announced as of yet what exactly caused the fire that destroyed the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Miller Road last week.

Firefighters from Fairhaven, Lewisburg, and Olive Branch fire departments responded when the church building caught fire and collapsed Wednesday evening, Feb. 1. Reports are that no one was in the building at the time and no injuries were reported.

Olive Branch fire officials said the department responded with mutual aid to the fire. On arrival, there was heavy fire coming from the church.
