Jack’s Family Restaurant opening delayed

The opening of a new restaurant in Olive Branch has been pushed back to mid-October.

A spokeswoman for Jack’s Family Restaurant announced that the new location at 7488 Hacks Cross Road in Olive Branch will now open on Oct. 13.  The date is a week later from the earlier announced date of Oct. 6.

It will be the first Mid-South location for the franchise, based in Birmingham, Ala., which has been in existence since 1960. That’s when the first Jack’s was opened by founder Jack Caddell in a Birmingham suburb.

There are currently over 200 restaurants, all corporately owned, that are located in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi.  Newton also has a Jack’s restaurant in Mississippi.

Todd Bartness is the CEO for the company that owns Jack’s, AEA Investors.

The franchise features sit-down dining, drive-thrus and takeout service. Burgers are the main menu fare, but Jack’s also serves fried chicken, breakfast and various other fast food items including french fries and soft drinks.
