Hiring event set for Waste Pro drivers

Waste Pro’s Southaven division is hosting a hiring event for CDL drivers and diesel mechanics, the company has announced.

On Saturday, Aug. 14, from 8 a.m.-12 noon, Waste Pro will hold the hiring event, offering possible retention and referral bonuses of up to $2,500, at its Southaven location, 2187 Stateline Road West.

Applicants are asked to bring their driver’s license, DOT medical card, motor vehicle registration, and resume. On-site interviews and road tests will be conducted.

To be hired, driver applicants must have a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). Waste Pro is licensed by the Florida Department of Transportation to issue CDLs and will offer its Co-Heart Program to employees who wish to travel to Florida to earn a CDL license. That program typically takes approximately 90 days to complete.

Drivers and helpers who are hired and go three years without at-fault accidents, injuries or property damage are eligible to earn a $10,000 Safety Award (Drivers) or $5,000 Safety Award (Helpers).

For additional information, contact media@wasteprousa.com.  Applicants are asked to confirm attendance via email, but this is not required. Food and refreshments will be available. Masks will be required during the hiring event.
