Hernando organizers urged residents to support local businesses during the week of the Fourth of July as the community marks the United States’ 250th anniversary, organizers said.
They encouraged shoppers to consider local options for Fourth of July outfits, car service before holiday travel, hair appointments, pet care while out of town and floral arrangements for parties, organizers said.
Organizers said prioritizing local businesses during the holiday week will help meet needs for celebratory events and travel preparations while supporting the community’s economy.
Residents were asked to make an effort to “shop local first” during the holiday period, organizers said.
