Garden club helps beautify Welcome Center
During the month of May, DeSoto Civic Garden Club members, Rusty Todd, Berta Crellin and Pat Tennant went to the I-55 Welcome Center near Hernando to refurbish the planter boxes that adorn the entranceway.
Begonias, asparagus ferns and coleus were planted in the boxes for all the public to enjoy. This act of community service is a part of the garden club’s many horticultural projects.
The DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc., Hills and Delta District.
