Hernando Dickens of a Christmas will begin Friday, Nov. 13, with holiday activities and family entertainment on Hernando’s historic town square, according to the Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce.
Ice skating is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. The Christmas tree lighting is scheduled for 6 p.m., while a showing of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is set for 6:30 p.m. Hot cocoa and a food court will be available on Panola Street. The listed times place the skating and tree lighting within overlapping hours.
The celebration will continue Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The chamber said the day will include live entertainment, holiday shopping, folk craft demonstrations, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic trolley tours and children’s activities.
