UPDATE: Woman charged with making bomb threat

A 20-year old woman has been charged with making threats by electronic media after police allege she made a bomb threat to the store she was working for.

Southaven Police Sunday evening arrested Patricia Desiree-McKenzie Lanshaw, said to be an employee of the Marshalls store at 105 Goodman Road West in Southaven in the South Lake Centre shopping center.

Police were notified shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon of a bomb threat to the store. Officers went to the scene, evacuated the store and the surrounding areas. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad was also called in to assist.

There were no injuries and the police information did not mention if a bomb was ever found.

Sunday evening the Police Department announced the arrest of Lanshaw in connection with the incident. Lanshaw was charged with one count of threats by electronic media and was being held without bond, which a judge is expected to set at a later time. That may come when Lanshaw appears before a judge at 9 a.m. on Oct. 6.
