Suspects identified after bomb threat at Southaven High School
Southaven High School was evacuated early Wednesday morning after a bomb threat according to Southaven Police. Three suspects have since been identified in connection with the incident.
The police department made the following announcement around 8:30 am via their social media:

“Southaven Police Department is currently investigating a bomb threat at Southaven High School. The school has been evacuated and all students have been moved to a safe location as we investigate.”
Later Wednesday morning, a police representative released the following statement:
The Southaven Police Department has identified the three suspects thanks to the help of our citizens.
The Southaven Police Department would like to thank our citizens for coming forward to make Southaven a safer city!
The Southaven Police Department would also like to thank the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office and the DeSoto County Board of Education for their assistance with this ongoing investigation.
At 9:50 a.m., police reported that after an investigation, the scene is secure and students are returning to class. The football field is no longer being used as a checkout point and standard checkout procedures in the school office are in place. However, it will take some time to get all students back to their assigned location.
