DeSoto Road has reopened and traffic is flowing normally, the Olive Branch Police Department said in a post.
The department earlier asked motorists to avoid DeSoto Road between Mustang Road and Center Hill Road while Northcentral Electric Company replaced a light pole and shut the roadway, the post said.
The post thanked motorists for their patience while officers directed traffic during the repair work, the Olive Branch Police Department said. The notice appeared on the City of Olive Branch government page and included the name of Ken Adams, Olive Branch mayor.
At the time of the closure, the department said there was no estimated timeframe for when crews would reopen the roadway and urged motorists to use alternate routes.
