DeSoto County to hold Fallen Heroes Memorial May 1

The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office said the annual Fallen Heroes Memorial will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the DeSoto County Courthouse in Hernando, Mississippi.

The sheriff’s office said the event will honor men of DeSoto County who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Paul Holley, director of strategic law enforcement partnerships for the Office of the Attorney General, will be the guest speaker, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office said a reception will follow inside the courthouse and encouraged residents to attend and stand in remembrance.
