Car-truck crash injures two

The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) continues to investigate a late night crash between a semi-trailer truck and a vehicle in Marshall County east of Olive Branch.  

According to the Highway Patrol, the collision took place shortly after 11:30 p.m. Friday night, Jan. 7 on I-22 near Red Banks.  

A car driven by Rooker S. Childers, age 20 of Holly Springs, and a Peterbilt truck driven by Jonathan Bell, age 25 of Calhoun Falls, S.C. Both vehicles were traveling eastbound when the collision took place, MHP said.  

Childers was injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. Bell was treated at the scene and released.
