DeSoto Family Theatre said Broadway performer Danny Gardner will lead a musical theater dance masterclass in Southaven, Mississippi. The theatre said Gardner is currently starring as Lumiere on the national tour of “Beauty and the Beast,” has appeared on Broadway three times and appeared on “Dancing with the Stars” last season.
According to DeSoto Family Theatre, Gardner regularly teaches in New York City at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. The organizers said the class will include a full warmup, technique exercises and a musical theater dance combination.
DeSoto Family Theatre said students will focus on storytelling through movement, acting through dance and the artistry of performing as part of an ensemble. The theatre said the session is intended for both seasoned performers and those looking to grow their musical theater dance skills.
