The Olive Branch Police Department said it received a donation last week from the Olive Twigs Humanitarian Group to support Camp B.U.I.L.D. and Camp S.H.A.P.E.

Deputy Roger Salter was recognized by the National Association of School Resource Officers, an announcement said. The announcement described him as someone who goes “above and beyond” for students and staff.

The City of Horn Lake issued a statement honoring the Horn Lake Police Department for its “courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment,” the city said.

Police Week 2026 pays tribute to Crenshaw Police Officer Leo ‘Butch’ Parrish Jr., who was killed in the line of duty in 1989.

Mayor Ken Adams, the Board of Aldermen and Police Chief Carlos E. Garcia recognized TreVoris Word on May 11, 2026, the City of Olive Branch said. Word joined the department in 2022 after a stint as a teacher and has served in several specialized roles.
