Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce said it held a ribbon-cutting to mark Kirkland Creative Group joining the chamber.

The Olive Branch Police Department said it appreciated 662 Social’s work on a web page for its Camp B.U.I.L.D. and Camp S.H.A.P.E. programs and urged parents to register as the school year ends.

The Landers Center said heavier traffic is expected over the next two weeks for graduation events, with peak periods on May 14 and May 19-24. Drivers were urged to plan ahead and expect delays.

Olive Branch police and fire departments said they responded to a reported structure fire at Vineyard Apartments, Building 32, at 9400 Goodman Road and have secured the scene. The city and Mayor Ken Adams asked residents to avoid the area.

Organizers of Police Week 2026 said they have not been able to locate family members of Crowder Town Marshal Lige Denman, who died in the line of duty 86 years ago, and called him a hero.

Organizers said a quarterly luncheon sponsored by Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto will be held May 20 and will feature keynote speakers Drs. Violiza Inoa and Neha Kumar; seats are limited.

Organizers said a free community shred day will be held Thursday, May 14, at 500 Stateline Road in Southaven, Mississippi. Residents may drive up, drop off documents and have them securely shredded.

Mayor Ken Adams and the Olive Branch Board of Aldermen presented the Mayor’s Award for April to Meter Reader Supervisor Sherrie Bowen after she transported a co-worker for emergency treatment that doctors later said likely saved his life, the board said.

A local notary service said it has provided notary services to its community since 2021 and offers concealed carry permits, learner’s permits, powers of attorney and jurats.
