Gates for the Light the Way Freedom Fest in Olive Branch open at 3 p.m., Mayor Ken Adams said. City fireworks will be launched after the concert.

The Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce said Sweet Magnolias Gifts is offering Fourth of July items on sale and serving lemonade, calling it a way to support local businesses.

The chamber said Driving Ms. Amy, LLC will offer certified driver education across North Mississippi to help students meet a new state requirement that took effect July 1, 2026.

The Liquor Store is hosting a holiday sale from July 3 to July 6, featuring discounts on spirits and festive specials for the Fourth of July.

The city said administrative offices will be closed Friday for the holiday and invited residents to a Fourth of July event Saturday at BankPlus Amphitheater.

The Panola County Sheriff’s Office said its front lobby will be closed Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of Independence Day. Jail and patrol operations will continue; call 911 for emergencies or Panola County E-911 at 662-487-2430 for nonemergencies.

Olive Branch officials said City Hall and other municipal buildings will be closed Friday, July 3, for Independence Day. Emergency services and garbage collection will continue, and fireworks will follow the Light the Way Freedom Fest in City Park.

Mayor Ken Adams and the Olive Branch Board of Aldermen will hold a regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at the City Municipal Court Building, the city said. The meeting is open to the public and will be livestreamed.

Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams said the roadway at Highway 305 and Sandidge has reopened after a two-vehicle crash. He urged drivers to avoid the area if possible and to follow directions from the Olive Branch Police Department.
