Northpoint players on AZB prep All-Star roster

Three members of the Northpoint Christian School football team have one more game to play this season. Running back Demontae Gillard, and offensive linemen Beau Robinson and Chris Soriano have been named to play on the Blue roster at the 22nd annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl High School All-Star Game.
The annual game features the top high school football seniors from Shelby County Schools, municipal schools, and private schools, including Northpoint Christian, in the Memphis area.
Eighty-eight players were chosen to play between the Red and Blue rosters. They represent 53 different area football programs. Three semi-finalists for the Tennessee Mr. Football Award will be on the field.
Coaches for this year’s All-Star Game are Ed Kuykendoll of Sheffield for the Red team and CJ Marshall of Bolton will coach the Blue team that will include the players from Northpoint.
“With these two outstanding head coaches leading the teams and the abundance of talent that will be featured in the game, we will continue the tradition of excellence the All-Star Game has established over the past two decades,” said Steve Ehrhart, Executive Director of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
Game time on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Memphis University School will be 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10, for kids 10 and under the cost is $5. Tickets may be purchased through the AutoZone Liberty Bowl ticket office by calling 795-7700.
