The special election for Mississippi Senate District 2 is set for Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Hall says he will not run for state Senate

Hall was unchallenged by the Democrats in the November 2023 House general election.

The senator said he will continue to function actively in the office through the special election and the official end of his term.

Snowden Lane next to Snowden Grove Park and the BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove already has them.

Budget includes police/fire pay raise, funding for street, and added police positions with millage increase.

Hall will become the first African-American Republican member of the House since Reconstruction when the 2024 session starts in January.

Bryant served as governor 2012 to 2020 and Barbour’s term was from 2004 to 2012.

The Republican primary for the seat is among the races being contested in the Aug. 8 vote.

Rodney Hall has received the backing of the Mississippi Bankers Political Action Committee.
