Wicker tests positive for COVID-19 again
Mississippi U.S. Senator Roger Wicker has tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time.
Monday, Wicker’s office provided the following information from Communications Director Phillip Waller.
“Today Senator Wicker received a positive result for COVID-19 after taking a required test. He will be expected to miss votes and committee business this week until he is able to return in person to the Senate.”
His website states that Wicker serves on the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, the Committee on Environment and Public Works, and the Committee on Rules.
Other positive tests the Senator has had for COVID-19 were August of last year and in February earlier this year.
