Juveniles shot in Tunica County incident

Tunica County authorities are investigating a shooting incident that took place in Tunica Thursday evening, March 7.

Deputies were called to a residence on Beatline Road in Tunica about 8:45 p.m. on a report that an individual had been shot.

On arrival, deputies and first responders learned that two juvenile children had suffered gunshot wounds. A 16-year-old Black male was treated and airlifted to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis. A 14-year-old Black male was taken by ambulance to Regional One.

Investigators have learned the shooting took place outside Cottonland Village Apartments, 1655 Beat Line Road in Tunica. Deputies observed that the apartment had been struck by gunfire.
