REALTORS PAC endorses Newman for PSC Commissioner

Republican Tanner Newman, a candidate for Northern District Public Service Commissioner, has received the endorsement of the Mississippi Association of REALTORS Political Action Committee, also known as MARPAC.

Newman is running against state Rep. Chris Brown (R-Nettleton) for the PSC seat, which will be determined in the August primary because no Democrat filed for the office being vacated by gubernatorial candidate Brandon Presley.

In a news release, MARPAC stated its support comes from Newman’s “exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to promoting responsible and sustainable growth in the city,” as Director of Development Services for the City of Tupelo.

“I am honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of the Mississippi Association of REALTORS Political Action Committee,” said Newman. “Throughout my career, I have witnessed firsthand the vital role that realtors and developers play in shaping our communities and driving economic growth. I am grateful for their support and look forward to working together to ensure a prosperous future for all Mississippians.”

MARPAC said Newman’s ability to balance the needs of the community with economic growth has been commendable and makes him an ideal candidate for the position of Public Service Commissioner.
