Late Monday sports: Trojans whitewash White Station

Northpoint Christian’s baseball team took home a 10-0, five-inning win over White Station (Memphis) Monday night to wrap up the regular season.  The Spartans were held to just one hit against the Trojans, which improved to 19-9 with the win.

Northpoint scored five runs in the first inning for all the runs they would need, but the Trojans would add three runs in the second and two more in the third to force the run rule to become effective after the Spartans failed to score in the fifth.

KL Farr and Jace Robinson each drove in three runs for Northpoint in the contest, and Robinson and Jayden Parker each had three hits.  Parker also scored three runs.

Robinson pitched three innings of relief and struck out five.

Northpoint begins TSSAA D2-A West Region play Wednesday against Tipton-Rosemark Academy.
