Trio named MAC all-stars in baseball

The annual Crossroads Diamond Club D.M. Howie All-Star Baseball Games will be played on Thursday, June 10 – Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Milton Wheeler Field on the campus of William Carey University in Hattiesburg. Three players from DeSoto County will be taking part in the games representing the 5A/6A North squad, which will play their South counterparts on Friday, June 11.

The trio are: Gray Bane and Brayden Sanders of Lewisburg and DeSoto Central’s Coleman Haltom.

John Walker of Lafayette (Oxford) and Jake Mills of South Panola were named coaches for the all-star squad.

This year’s event is for graduating seniors only. This series, recognizing top high school baseball players, has been held since 1975.
