Tigers, Gators, Mustangs on All-State football teams

Football players from Hernando, Lake Cormorant and Center Hill were included on the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-State teams announced at the end of the state high school football championships in Jackson last weekend.  

Two Hernando Tigers are on the Class 6A Second Team All-State squad. They were wide receiver Reed Flanagan and linebacker Shawn Wade. 

Darryen Hobbs of Center Hill was named as a first-team athlete on the Class 5A honor team. Second-team selections were Lake Cormorant wide receiver Jordan Martin, placekicker Kevin Ruiz Frayle, and defensive back Tony McCray Jr., along with Center Hill punter Erik Covington.
