WORTH NOTING…

• Northpoint Christian has announced it has added a home game for Thursday, Oct. 7, when the Trojans play St. Benedict at Auburndale. Earlier this season, Northpoint had lost a game against Palestine-Wheatley, Ark. due to COVID-19 cases and multiple injuries by the Arkansas team.  
• The Mississippi High School Activities Association has announced the regular season for football teams in classes 1A, 5A, and 6A must end on Thursday, Nov. 4. The regular season in classes 2A-4A is now ending on Thursday, Oct. 28. A current shortage of football officials is the reason for the move and the decision allows easier coverage of officials for the playoffs.
