Weather issues extend prep soccer schedule a week

Due to the week’s inclement weather in much of the state of Mississippi, the Mississippi High School Activities Association on Friday announced the extension of the winter soccer schedule by one week, advancing the playoffs and state championship schedule to Feb. 16-17 at Germantown (Madison) and at Ridgeland high schools.

The schedule adjustment also meant the Randy West All-Star Games at Ridgeland will now be played on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
