Oxford 35, Lewisburg 28

Notes: Jay Brown’s two second-half touchdowns helped Oxford rally from a 21-0 Lewisburg first-half lead to stay undefeated in Region 1-7A play and assure themselves of a home playoff game in the first round. Easton Fesmire caught two scoring passes for the Patriots, including an 80-yard pass-run combination in the first half that gave Lewisburg back the lead after the Chargers had tied the contest at 21-21 with more than two minutes left in the first half. Brown’s pair of touchdowns in the second half were all of the scoring in after halftime. Elliot Helps scored on a 65-yard fake punt run for a scoring to open the game for Lewisburg and Eli Turner recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for another Patriot score. Gunner Gilmore threw for 309 yards and two touchdowns. Lewisburg falls to 2-2 in region play.

DeSoto Central 29, Horn Lake 12

Notes: DeSoto Central won its second straight region game after three straights while pinning the fourth straight loss on the Eagles. Eric Perry threw for 173 yards a touchdown for DeSoto Central. Perry also ran for 27 yards and a touchdown. Ty Holmes caught five passes for 89 yards and a score for the Jaguars. Jason Edwards threw for 77 yards for Horn Lake and two touchdowns. Rod Fairlee caught seven passes for 42 yards and a touchdown, while Lance McGowen caught three passes for 42 yards and a score.

Southaven 21, Hernando 18

Notes: Southaven picks up its second region win after two straight losses. Hernando drops its second straight region contest. Both are now tied with DeSoto Central and Lewisburg at 2-2 in region play with next week’s regular season finales remaining.

Lake Cormorant 24, Center Hill 7

Notes: Lake Cormorant rebounds after three straight region losses to drop Center Hill, which has now lost three straight in region play. Joshaun Williams ran for 204 yards on 33 yards and a touchdown for the Gators in the victory.

South Panola 49, Olive Branch 27

Notes: The South Panola victory sets up a winner-take-all game with Grenada next week for the Region 1-6A championship, with both teams at 4-0 ahead of the contest. Olive Branch lost its fifth-straight overall and fourth straight in region play.

Northpoint Christian 45, Evangelical Christian 13

Notes: The Trojans finished their district and regular season with its fifth win in the last six outings. Northpoint finishes the regular season in second place in the district with an overall record of 7-3. The Trojans host the first round of the TSSAA Division II-AA playoffs on Friday, Nov. 3, and will play Pope John Paul II Prep at Northpoint, starting at 7 p.m. Demontae Dillard scored three touchdowns in the victory and ran for 179 yards. Jack Patterson threw for 252 yards and a pair of touchdown passes for the Trojans. Grayson Alford caught six passes for 144 yards and a score.
