Postponed tournament games rescheduled
Weather and the DeSoto County School District closure of classes on Thursday has postponed the evening’s schedule of division basketball tournament games that were to be played at Olive Branch, Oxford, and Lake Cormorant high schools. All of Thursday’s games have been moved to Friday.
Friday’s adjusted schedule for the 6A district tournament at Olive Branch is as follows:
1 p.m. – (Girls’ consolation) DeSoto Central vs. Lewisburg
2:30 p.m. – (Boys’ consolation) DeSoto Central vs. Lewisburg
**** gymnasium will be cleared after second game. ****
5 p.m. – (Girls’ championship) Olive Branch vs. Tupelo
6:30 p.m. – (Boys’ championship) Olive Branch vs. Tupelo
Here is the new schedule for the 6A district tournament at Oxford:
3 p.m. – (Girls’ consolation) Horn Lake vs. Southaven
4:30 p.m. – (Boys’ consolation) Horn Lake vs. Hernando
**** gym will be cleared between consolation and championship games ****
6:30 p.m. – (Girls’ championship) Oxford vs. Hernando
8 p.m. – (Boys’ championship) Oxford vs. Southaven
The adjusted schedule for the 5A district tournament at Lake Cormorant is as follows:
1:30 p.m. – (Girls’ consolation) Center Hill vs. Lake Cormorant
3 p.m. – (Boys’ consolation) Lafayette vs. Saltillo
4:30 p.m. – (Girls’ championship) Saltillo vs. Lafayette
6 p.m. – (Boys’ championship) Center Hill vs. Lake Cormorant
