Harrell named NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week

Sept. 19, 2024 – For the first time this season and the third time in her career, Northwest sophomore Anna Kathryn Harrell has earned NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week honors, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Harrell notched six saves and allowed just one goal in a pair of wins against Southwestern Illinois College and 13th-ranked St. Louis last week. The Tupelo native was also named MACCC Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday.

For the season, Harrell now has 21 saves with four goals allowed, including her two saves and one goal surrendered in Tuesday’s 2-1 victory against No. 2 Jones College.

Northwest is now 6-0 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Lady Rangers will visit East Central on Friday, Sept. 20 at 5 p.m.
