Two arrests after stolen vehicle rams police car
If you were in the area of Goodman Road and Airways Blvd. in Southaven early Saturday afternoon, wondering what all of the patrol vehicles were in the area for, police have provided more information about what exactly happened.
Police report the squad cars were there for two people who, according to police, were in a stolen vehicle. In an effort to escape, the pair intentionally rammed an officer’s vehicle head on, according to the police report.
The unidentified suspects were taken into custody without further incident.
The report didn’t provide information on the suspects’ identity and exactly what further charges they were facing.
Southaven Police did put out a notice at the time warning drivers of the increased officer presence in the area.
