Three caught in attempted carjacking

Three suspects are being charged in connection with a Monday morning carjacking with shots fired in Olive Branch.

Police reported a call came in shortly before 10:30 a.m. from 6055 state Highway 305 North, where a Circle K gas station is located.  

Officers on the scene detained a juvenile, identified as Donterrio D Jackson, age 16 of Memphis. A second subject, identified as Reginald Fleming, age 20 of Memphis, was apprehended a short time later and a third subject, identified as Jeric Harton, age 18 of Memphis, was found at a hospital a short time later, police said.  

Police report all three are facing charges of attempted carjacking, attempted murder, armed robbery, and possession of stolen property. 

This is a ongoing investigation, police said, and more charges may be forthcoming. No further details were immediately available.  

Olive Branch police said DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department deputies assisted in the apprehension of the three suspects.
