Taylor leaves Horn Lake for Byhalia chamber position
You may have noticed recently on social media from the Horn Lake Chamber of Commerce that it is looking for a new Executive Director. That is because the current executive director Laura Taylor is leaving to take on a similar role with the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce made the announcement Tuesday. Taylor is expected to start her new position in September.
Taylor has been with the Horn Lake Chamber of Commerce as Executive Director the past four years and was its Membership Coordinator for two years before that.
“I am looking forward to being part of a growing community and am grateful for the opportunity to serve the needs of the businesses and residents of Byhalia and Marshall County,” Taylor said in a news release.
The Horn Lake Chamber has now posted the following item on its Facebook page as the search begins for a new executive.
Taylor will bring a number of years experience in the corporate and nonprofit sector along with a sales background to the Byhalia organization. She has completed the third year of a four-year U.S. Chamber Foundation Institute for Organization Management course and will graduate from the program in 2023. The course provides a comprehensive study in fundamentals of the nonprofit profession.
