7256 Interstate Blvd., Horn Lake

Around 4:45 p.m., on Sunday, June 8, Horn Lake police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the parking lot of 7256 Interstate Blvd. Investigators say a tow truck driver with All Star Recovery was attempting to repossess a vehicle when he was shot during a confrontation.

The driver initially drove himself to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven and was later transferred to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, in critical but stable condition.

Police identified the suspected shooter as 26-year-old Marshun Colbert of Memphis. Colbert allegedly fired a single shot during the verbal altercation over the repossession. As the wounded driver fled the scene, the repossessed vehicle reportedly fell off the tow lift and onto its side.

A woman who had entered the vehicle at the time was also taken to Baptist Desoto Hospital and later released.
