Study ranks fastest-growing home prices in DeSoto County

A new report from the website Stacker has a list of places with the fastest growing home prices in DeSoto County, using data compiled from Zillow Research

According to the report on Stacker, places are ranked by the Zillow Home Values Index for all homes from May 2022 to May 2023. The index represents a seasonally adjusted price in the middle market for all homes. All seven cities and towns with data available were included in the list. 

Following is the information report from Zillow through the Stacker posting.  

#7. Lynchburg

– 1-year price change: +2.5% (+$5,930)

– 5-year price change: +35.0%

– Typical home value: $246,170

#6. Olive Branch

– 1-year price change: +2.4% (+$7,666)zill

– 5-year price change: +47.4%

– Typical home value: $326,559

#5. Southaven

– 1-year price change: +3.5% (+$8,717)

– 5-year price change: +54.5%

– Typical home value: $258,453

#4. Nesbit

– 1-year price change: +2.7% (+$9,146)

– 5-year price change: +37.9%

– Typical home value: $344,130

#3. Hernando

– 1-year price change: +3.7% (+$11,755)

– 5-year price change: +47.7%

– Typical home value: $330,755

#2. Walls

– 1-year price change: +6.4% (+$13,899)

– 5-year price change: +48.4%

– Typical home value: $229,667

– 1-year price change: +8.5% (+$14,586)

– 5-year price change: +61.6%
