The Southaven Fire Department announced that Jon Carrington has been promoted to lieutenant, the department said.
Carrington joined the department almost 11 years ago. The department said he has demonstrated a strong work ethic, professionalism and dedication to the fire service.
He will join the crew at Station 3 on C-Shift and will mentor and lead fellow firefighters while continuing to serve Southaven residents, the department said.
The department asked the public to join in congratulating Lieutenant Jon Carrington and said it appreciates his service and looks forward to his leadership in the years ahead.
