Southaven police have arrested a suspect in the Southaven bank robbery at the Renasant Bank branch on Airways Boulevard, just hours after the Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, holdup. Investigators identified the man as 35-year-old Phillip Davis. He was taken into custody and charged with robbery.
What Happened at Renasant Bank
Officers were sent to the bank at 7500 Airways Boulevard on Wednesday morning after a robbery was reported. The suspect ran from the area on foot before police got there.
Southaven officers and DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office deputies set up a perimeter around the area, and a K-9 team was brought in to try to track the suspect. The sheriff’s office also sent a helicopter and ground personnel to help with the search.
Earlier in the day, police shared a still image from the bank’s surveillance video. It showed a man wearing a beanie and a black tracksuit with white stripes on the arms.
How Investigators Identified the Suspect in the Southaven Bank Robbery
According to the DeSoto Times-Tribune, the Southaven Police Department’s intelligence staff and the detectives assigned to the case identified Davis as the suspect. Crime scene investigators and detectives reviewed the bank’s surveillance footage to piece together what happened.
Police have not said how much money was taken or whether a weapon was shown or used. No injuries have been reported. Police also have not said where Davis was arrested.

What Happens Next
